Well, a bit has happened since the last post. The big thing was that the family caught this ultra-nasty cold\flu going around. It all started with Kaiden, who probably contracted some sickness from the bacterial and viral breeding grounds ( aka PRESCHOOL ). It quickly spread to Nate and Monica, but seemed to only give me minor symptoms for about a day. Nate on the oither hand didn't react well to being sick. He was having troubles breathing and was feeling pretty sick. They admitted us into the hospital where Monica and Nate were quarantined for 2 nights while he was being tested for RSV. Nasty.

It all turned out ok and Nate is back to normal. He's 3 months plus one week now and developing nicely! Some highlights:

  • he can hold his head up now!
  • he rolled over a couple of times. I didn't see it. Mon and K did.
  • loves talking and laughing.
  • always happy when he's naked.
  • might be teething. Starting to chew on everything. Drooling. Cranky.
  • can grab things and shove them into his mouth.
Kaiden is doing awesome. His manners are improving quite a bit and he's been a good boy for Mommy and Nate. My little guy is turning into a young man already! He's starting to have alot of fun playing with other kids, not that that has ever been a problem but despite his shyness, he's quite outgoing at school and at play. He's gotten great reports from his teachers ( with a few minor incidents ).

Mommy's really got the groove of taking care of both kids. She's venturing out, going for walks, doing whatever with the boys. They don't know how good they've got it. I can't believe how much time Mon spends with her boys....and she misses then after being away for a couple of hours. I convinced her to go out to dinner with some friends the other night and leave me with the boys. It turned out to be an ultra-easy night for me - definitely not a candidate for Crash Test Mommy, which incidentally is looking for candidates from the Ridge! I had the kids again last night and it went without incident. Either the planets are aligning for me or I'm just a great Daddy. I think the latter is the case because I only have them for a couple of hours before they go to bed - not the 10 hour stretch that Mon has to go through, sometime with no naps from the K-man.
